Brandon Oates

Brandon Oates

Executive Director

Our Executive Director, Brandon Oates has been with Waccamaw Youth Center since October 2024. Before coming to Waccamaw Youth Center he has worked in nonprofit leadership for over 10 years. He obtained his Master of Social Work degree from Walden University and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services and Organizational Leadership from Columbia University. Brandon is also part of the Certified Maxwell Leadership Team and is a speaker, coach, and mentor. Brandon is a combat veteran who served in the US Army and SC Army National Guard for 8 years. Brandon believes everyone deserves a second chance and the opportunity to become successful.

I strive to create a supportive and consistent environment where young men feel seen, heard, and valued. My passion for this work is rooted in my own lived experience. Having overcome personal adversity, I’m driven to be a steady presence for youth navigating challenges of their own. I believe in the power of connection, compassion, and showing up every day with purpose.

Kaitlyn Harndon

Kaitlyn Harndon

Assistant Director

Our Assistant Director, Kaitlyn Harndon, is a graduate from Francis Marion University with dual degrees in both Psychology and Sociology. She has been a part of Waccamaw Youth Center for over three years and has held many positions within the organization since starting as Youth Mentor. Kaitlyn believes in teaching with compassion through respectful communication and modeling positive behavior.

Donna Miller

Donna Miller

Youth Director

I have a passion for helping others. I feel like I can help lead the youth into a better path than the one I chose at their age. I believe everyone needs that ONE person that gets it. Im hoping to be that One person that people can turn to. I love to volunteer in different community activities where I see a need.  

Pamela Lund

Pamela Lund

Care Coordinator

Pamela Lund is the Care Coordinator at Waccamaw Youth Center. Her passion for this work began early in life, sparked by a personal connection to adoption-being adopted by her stepfather inspired her to pursue a career focused on helping children and families.

Patricia Eberhart

Patricia Eberhart

Team Lead

Ms. Pat as everyone who has came through the doors of WYC calls her, has been with the organization for over 17 years and truly enjoys being a motherly figure to each and every male who becomes part of the WYC family. She shows leadership in all that she does , dedicating many years of assisting at risk males to becoming independent successful young men. Her vibrant and energetic personality is always to be expected whenever her presence is around .She builds a strong respectful relationship with  her coworkers, residents and people throughout the community. When you hear the keys jingling and a loud welcoming tone and a lady with a smile you definitely know Ms. Pat is here.
